We are grateful for the insights shared by Syrian CSOs and members of the int'l community working on the ground. RWI as an academic institute remains committed to supporting efforts that promote justice and protect the rights of all individuals in #Syria.

We concluded our government meetings with Mr. Saad Baroud, Director of International Organisations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Today we also renewed our MoU with Damascus University, represented by President, Professor Mustafa Saem Aldahr and Dean of the Law Faculty, Dr. Yasser al-Howaish and his team—reaffirming our joint commitment to academic cooperation in the fields of #HumanRights and #InternationalHumanitarianLaw.

We also welcomed the thoughtful exchange with Judge Ibrahim Khalil al-Hassoun, Dean of the Higher Judicial Institute in Damascus. Our discussions with the Ministry of Interior focused specifically on criminal justice reform.

We appreciated the opportunity to meet with the Syrian Minister of Justice, Dr. Mazhar Al-Wais and Deputy Minister of Justice who shared the Government’s vision for aligning Syria’s legal and judicial framework with international standards.

At the Syrian Government's invitation, we engaged in constructive dialogue with key national stakeholders on Syria's human rights landscape and explored pathways to strengthen #RuleofLaw and #AccesstoJustice.
