"It's been two months of watching over me, every day, making sure nobody did anything to me," Kirk continued, "What was that like?" "You are attempting to ask why by establishing a connection of empathy," Spock's words were almost accusatory, and coming from anyone else they probably would be. Kirk laughed mirthlessly, sitting up, "Always right to the heart of things with you, isn't it?" "And you continue to deflect, as always," Spock said by way of answer. "Yah," Kirk's smile dimmed, "My track record with women is probably evidence enough that I'm not as comfortable here as I am in the captain's chair." "Your track record with me is all the evidence I need to draw that conclusion."
Spirk really does write itself doesnt it? These two are so cosmically gay for each other that it just happens- even when that’s not the intention

12.09.2025 18:38 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0One of those episodes that seems like a throwaway in the grander scheme but, like basically all of Enterprise, it means so much to the characters and the universe. A hopeless mission in uncharted space reminding them they’re never alone.
Plus my wife loves the episode for its T’Pol arc so…
Captain Archer looking at a much older version of the NX-01 Enterprise in the viewscreen, in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “E2”.
(1/4) “E2” may be a riff on “Children of Time”, but in the Xindi Arc, with the crew all alone in the Expanse, it has quite a different tone. It also has a moving scene for T’Pol, which crucially is the first step for her in learning to live with the onslaught of emotions she’s been struggling with.

Protest movements that keep going until your whole squad is across the finish line win.
It’s disgusting. A small group of open bigots in Australia being favored over an entire medium and at least tens of thousands of people.
This is real censorship. Not the version perceived by the free speech warriors who are silent/celebratory on this. May their phone lines be swamped forever.

I didn’t realize there is an entire genre of wehraboo talk on substack and I was just reading one that called the Wehrmacht’s response to D-Day “one of the most impressive operational schemes of 20th century warfare” and I was like:

And it's not just coming for SWers, it'll be coming for all LGBTQ content, because the people in charge view LGBTQ people as inherently pornagraphic!
We must push back even harder than we did last time we killed this bill 🔥
The point of calling credit card companies isn't to make John Visa have moment of introspection and go "aw shucks I was wrong!" it's to grind business to a halt for such an extended period of time that all the higher ups who are real people with names and addresses decide that this isn't worth it
27.07.2025 02:02 — 👍 6601 🔁 3164 💬 16 📌 28I didn’t realize this until paying our electric bills last month! Hitting a bunch of wrong inputs automatically tells the machines to connect you to an agent- especially if you do it before they can complete their “sorry can you try that again” part!
Keep pushing and drown them out!
Friendly reminder for those that don't know it in the midst of this #Visa and #MasterCard situation.
Their automated systems rely on inputs to do their job, but repeated entry of a completion key when prompted (such as the #) will usually result in your call being pushed through to a person.
🙏🏻😎🩷
Call call call. Visa is literally begging us to stop calling and send emails. Calls cost them way more money and they can't use key words to filter them out

Tell them that if you can't use your credit card for purchasing art from award winning game developers, then you will cancel it and switch to other methods of payment.
25.07.2025 14:19 — 👍 108 🔁 79 💬 0 📌 1DON'T STOP CALLING.
email them if you want, sure, but the fact that they are requesting people to *email them instead* (presumably because emails are much easier to ignore) means that the calls are WORKING, i.e. becoming a massive nuisance and interrupting workflow.
once again, DON'T STOP CALLING.
If you want to actually solve the problem, instead of punishing itch, start calling payment cos
Collective Shout, which is run by people who get published by Spinifex, a very terf-seeming organization, apparently needed 1,000 people to yell at visa to get this done.
We got more than 1000 people.
ok then. one angle of attack then needs to be actively bombarding Visa and Mastercard's phone numbers and emails.
are customer support phone numbers/emails the best avenue to start with or is there a better option?
Pretty damn stellar work for riffing! Romulan political history has always been fascinating since I first read about Ael, so this project has been amazing to follow. It all flows so naturally and really builds up a relatively murky area of the universe

Persona 5 is, without a doubt, the worst video game I’ve played in a decade. Terrible exposition dumps, empty yet cartoonish characters, over-reliance on the anime, unreadable UI, and a dungeon re-design that, while admirable, falls flat for me.
What in the hell happened to this video game???
