I may do more descriptions with Epic Threesome, and yeah, I know well enough that mentioning dark skin and not light skin when describing characters - is very cringe.

In retrospect, it would have made sense for Jaimes to mention Traci's family's whiteness, for reasons, and it didn't occur to me.

I think it's a little different - because NONE of the characters get a description besides aspects of themselves that are immediate relevant - like Lars being short and Jaimes being tall when they square-up with one another.

And, you know, it's first-person.

*shrug*

Caleb also isn't white, but there is no indication of his ethnicity until nearly the middle of the second book.

This was a decision not to mention those aspects of any of the characters (except Shawn - lmao) unless it became relevant somehow - and I wonder if that's the right choice or not.

I've gotten criticized for basically NOT describing my characters *at all*.

Unless you recognize "Jaimes" as having a Hispanic origin, I suspect many readers will assume his name is just "James" spelled different.

You only find out later that he isn't white - if you assumed he was.

Ironically, I guess, the only character in my first novel that I mention the race of is the ginger character who is described as "extremely pale".

At some point, I need to make an audio book of Bad Memory and Best Forgotten.

I mean, it's funny NOW.

It's really fascinating to read through an author's entire bibliography. For one there's so many little things that, when viewed as a whole, crystalize into a larger picture but also, good writing being so involved and intense, you can watch as the author themselves change and grow as the years pass
