The good stuff: That's it - he doesn't have ANY other negative markers at all and is otherwise a genetically VERY healthy boy. He is at the higher end of the breed's heterozygosity (genetic diversity), and I think we're seeing that with the negative markers. 🙂

The bad stuff, but was expected: He has 2 copies of a variant which generally causes spinal issues in french bulldogs, which we obviously knew about because of his past paralysis and questionable incontinence.

100% French Bulldog. 100% Good Dog.

Due to his prior hind-legs paralysis, and as I do with every dog I adopt, I got his DNA tested to look at all of the health markers.

Fun item number one: He is PUREBRED. PURE PUREBRED. French Bulldogs as far as the eye can see.
