People talk about doing mutual aid and care work and just good for others reflexively in a Christian lens of sacrifice/selflessness, even if theyre atheists building the revolution. Fuck that. Doing it for years makes you more capable of seeing beauty, of loving and enjoying the world.

This event is held on the first Sunday of each month, and my birthday is conveniently on a Sunday this year, so I've decided to make a mutual aid party of it.

Proceeds from the exhibition will go directly to Flintridge Center Dena Relief Fund a fund for displaced African American tridents of Altadena administered by the Flintridge Center and to artists who've been severely impacted by the fires.

In an effort to raise funds for those who lost their homes, studios, and possessions in the recent devastating Los Angeles wildfires, LAST Projects is proud to present "Artist Relief Fundraiser Exhibition" opening Saturday, Feb 1st (until Feb 28th) with over 50 artists participating.
