NOW: The ABC chair of this morning's Council session has ruled the motion for a proactive approach to prevent any deployment of ICE in Canada during the World Cup out of order.

Despite thousands of letters sent, this motion will not be debated at Council.

Take a stand against bullying in all its forms; against Racism, Transphobia, Sexism, Homophobia, Ableism and all types of discrimination.

Don't be silent.
Not just today, but everyday.

October 17th is when we vote and say goodbye to the inept ABC party and our crypto-swagger-Mayor, Ken Sim.

It is no surprise, that the ABC party voted against this motion.

Today I spoke at Vancouver City Hall to support a motion put forth by Councillor @seanorr.bsky.social

This motion was intended to improve the democratic process by introducing free transit on election day in order to increase voter turn out, and, to introduce Ranked Choice Voting (RCV).

I can't help but be completely absorbed by the happenings in American media. The murders by ICE of American citizen, Renée Good, along with so many other POC who don't make the news, the abduction of Venezuelan President Maduro, the Orwellian propaganda, but, uhh, where are those Epstein files?

NEW: The ABC majority just voted to decimate the strong social housing requirements on developments in the Downtown Eastside / Oppenheimer District.

What a year.

What if history just didn't repeat itself, for once?

This last week made me a bit of rage case. So I took today off from reading the news and grading midterms. It's been nice. Still mad though.

I know we can’t run around on fire every time Trump says something but he appears to have just announced the new US policy on Gaza which is to take ownership of it, ethnically cleanse it of the 1.8 million Palestinians there and maintain a long term ownership stake as it’s “developed.”
