I sound way too mad but I need y'all to know that "animation friendly" designs are entirely dependent on the medium, program, your animators' skillset, and amount of time. I plainly don't think the average Joe knows enough to make a fair judgement like that and then also deem it "bad" as a result 😭

What I hear most are arguments about how because the design has These Things therefore it's hard to animate and therefore it's bad, but if you don't know how to animate then you don't know how hard it is, and since when did "hard" equal "bad"?

Just say you don't like how it looks! That's fine!

I saw a TikTok of someone giving their opinion on whether or not a certain character design choice was "animation friendly" and.. hrrg.. I need animation fans to please realize that unless you are an actual professional animator you do not possess the expertise to make such criticismssss sorryyyyy

Idk if anyone else does this but whenever I have a nightmare or I hear a scary noise I short circuit the "scaring myself into a panic" spiral by thinking that whatever is haunting me is SEXY and if I find it I can kiss it and I immediately shift from scared to scary

It's hard to be creative in today's day and age because the best source of inspiration or motivation to create is boredom. I created so much when I was on a strict social media break because the second I got bored I pulled out my notes app and started writing down ideas I wanted to realize

Yeah people are so quick to mislabel low empathy as antisocial behavior, when those are in fact not the same at all! It just makes it harder to relate to people, yet a lot of low-empathy people still choose to do good because it's what makes sense socially, which everyone does from time to time!
