It was really great to visit this amazing exhibit in DC this week.

Go by and see it before March 6th to see one of the country's only collections of prison photography by incarcerated folks of their own community and environment.

Jesse Jackson was the template that showed what was possible. He ran for the highest office despite the odds and was eventually proven right. I remember his run through the eyes of a child and it was incredibly inspiring. Thank you sir and rest in peace.

I was at work... While a lot of people were in art school.

New PROCSSS newsletter: β€œI was at Work (While a lot of people were in art school)”.

I share memories and early work from my days working at Kinkos back in 2002. I had no safety net so I had to figure a way out to get to my dream of being a creative professional.

πŸŽƒ On this day of reflection and tradition, we’re reminded that the real challenges our communities face aren’t seasonalβ€”they’re systemic. Together, we can end the harms of mass incarceration and build a future grounded in justice.

In the U.S., we use prisoners as a source of income for the powerful, because our prison system originated with our chattel slavery system. This rate increase approval is the intentional result of that system, fought for by sheriffs and wardens and state legislators and huge corporations.
