Trees.
Talking to everybody {house, neighbor+rabbits, gardener, garden}. Next time a storm comes they're going to drop some branches and everybody's going to get fucked up.
Also, in a week they're going to root through the water main and man that'll be expensive.
Had the ER vet blow us off insisting gaba was causing the issue (dose was below what we use for vet anxiety). Our normal vet humored us and gave rx for different anti-nausea and we saw step function improvement once it (C) was out of his system.
Expect to argue if you go this route.
3/3
Anyway, Cerenia is broadly safe and kind of magic--it probably saved our guy's life as he was 40h without food--but if you're seeing weird post-event behaviors it's worth considering as an option a vet might miss. Remains anecdotal but it's true to me now.
Cat (seems to be) on the mend.
/2
Had kind of a scary time with one of my cats. PSA from our family: Cerenia is viewed as a safe drug BUT there seem to be anecdata-only supported side effects: {extreme lethargy, drooling, labored breathing} that can be fatal. Often vets will insist this is pain rx when trying to triage.

if it helps it's been a weird six months to *return* to industry too
after spending 18 playing games and petting cats I'm still not quite sure if i don't want to just age out, find a new hobby, and call it a good run
sat here embarrassingly long going "Fast Fourier... Sransform?"

reviewing the Gemini notes for my first meeting with newco
it led with "@falun joined late marking the beginning of the onboarding" but left out where I accidentally pasted my github password directly into chat.
minor victories i guess
just to be clear the only thing in that story is me

Took me literally 7 years to get an ADHD diagnoses and I'm disappointed that the first dose of the first drug hasn't solved anything / had any effect at all.
It also took a week for me to drag my ass to actually starting the rx once I had them in the house
Everything in this story in unreasonable.
if it becomes a case of more hands would enable some class of branch or additional complexity hmu and we can see if it's a fit for what I can do
this has real overlap with stuff that is extremely my jam but that i don't get to dabble in all that much
(also, cheers to a new issue!)
oh yea, cool story slack. high quality toast there i feel very informed. thank you

to be completely frank I still have a 20sqft hole in my ceiling after 10 months because "I'm going to drywall it myself" (I am! it's "easy"!)
I don't buy the LLM hype at all but there is almost no power in the world that will do as shitty a job managing my house as I do
I tried to skim the collective replies to your threads so sorry if this is a repeat but...
saw this topic again today and got to wondering if they're heading to an AI "agent" to sell as ~microinfluencers to shill products. Not growing the pie in a meaningful way but taking a diff slice so to speak.
ftr vegan food is fucked up.
you start the day like "I'm going to make a chocolate pie" and then you have a pound of tofu, a can of chickpeas, some chia seeds, and soy lecithin wondering where you went wrong in the world
And like the pie is *great* but that's not the point
it is a searing condemnation that I don't have the appropriate social circle to play this but it might fit in your life www.kickstarter.com/projects/pal...

thank you (re: checking tomorrow)
generic advice sometimes forgets constipation as an option bc it's "boring" as a cause so watch litter box for normal usage.
hmu if you want to tap my house's cat-anxiety brain; hope basil shakes this and is doing well soon ❤️
13 pt3. diverged enough from standard fare it felt super fresh.
Anyway. I suspect not for everybody but compelling union of narrative and mechanics. Should be no surprise this one also carries plenty of content warnings.
13 pt2. when they were silent it felt as if part of the character I played was missing from the game. The puzzle design leans into it as well and so even when I was stuck it felt appropriate given the MC's unreliable grasp of reality.
Story was dark & not wildly unique by any stretch but ...
13. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
Took a long time to get around to this one but shouldn't have.
Protag has psychosis and the way it's conveyed in-game is phenomenal. At some point I realized I had come to find familiarity/comfort in the voices (even the abusive/darker ones) such that ...
on the other hand my cats are barreling through the house playing with each other and keep running between my feet so that's the fuckin' best

This is a vent. I'm casting about hopelessly in search of catharsis.
I would die to exist in a hobby space with a little less {you are so fire; slaaaaay; omg amazing port; impossibly hyped to have you on board} and a little more {here's the work I promised you; heads up not going to make that date}
gonna call you queen midas bc everything you touch turns to pixels
(did midas have a corresponding queen? nothing in a quick search actually turned anything up but there *was* a daughter so somebody somewhere, right?)
11. Bastion
12. Transistor
Experience the beginning of the studio that brought you Hades! These are both fantastic games and everything about them is my jam with killer sound tracks.
Pyre is their next game and also well loved though I haven't played it yet.
9. Tacoma
10. Gone Home
More indie darlings, walking simulator or adjacent. Nothing particularly unique except that they tell a good story through mostly observation / minimal direct action
8 pt 2. Cultist Simulator -- I'm currently on hold with it rn because I moved my hideout and now I'm afraid the cops will catch me as I try to ascend.
Again this narrative exists only in my head and I find the systems allowing that cool as shit.
