Our latest preprint! Into morphogenesis, Yap, ECM, signaling, vertex models, feedbacks/robustness? There is something here for everyone. We discovered a positive feedback loop that extends inner ear canals, and a built-in mechanism that shuts it down when morphogenesis is done. tinyurl.com/464wsjhd

When it comes to things that are actively being affected by administration action (i.e. federal funding, layoffs, censorship, etc.), I really want to hear full blast criticism. Accountability (especially when it comes to things the average American might not know about) is really important right now

Not necessarily, I think it might just be better to flesh out the headings/details of the opportunities themselves as you have them. I personally have mine under specific sections like education, research, outreach, teaching, etc. I can send a sample screenshot if that would help!

Not sure if this is helpful, but I tend to format by place/opportunity (e.g. postbac at NIH) and then detail skills/project in bullet points (I worked on X topic/I performed X technique, etc.), I find it helps with making experience clear to the reader. I’d also add contact info in the header!

Evolution’s eye game is wild, but mollusks take it to another level

CRISPR in apple snails gives us a new model to dissect how nature rebuilds complex organs like the camera-type eyes we humans possess

It turns out Evolution doesn’t just innovate, it rewinds, remixes, & regenerates

FDA-NIH Workshop: Reducing Animal Testing The FDA is hosting a workshop on reducing animal testing. The workshop is open to current FDA and NIH employees.

Public comments have been opened back up!

Research with animals is critical for providing evidence-based knowledge in the pursuit of human health. Broadly reducing research projects with animals threatens public health and will greatly stall the development of new therapeutics for diseases!

What It Would Mean To Lose The National Science Foundation In a companion piece to our previous article on the NIH, we discuss the importance of the National Science Foundation (NSF) and how the agency is currently being affected by political interference.

Totally agree! We at @howwetalkabtsci.bsky.social recently published an article covering the NSF specifically, which you can check out here: open.substack.com/pub/isabella.... Hope this helps generate awareness!
