Monthly reading recap! This month I read 6 books, my top book was "Hungerstone" a retelling of vampire classic, "Carmilla". Great themes of empowerment and liberation. If you read any of the books pictured, I'd love your thoughts. Also, what was your favorite book last month?

2025 reading wrap up! I have really enjoyed doing these monthly book posts inspired by the bracket, and I'll definitely be doing it again this year. While I read dozens of books this year, and liked most of them, according to my bracket my top book of 2025 was Iron Widow.

December books, then my 2025 reading wrap up! I read 6 books, my favorite was "Brigands & Breadknives" by Travis Baldree, I continue to love his cozy fantasy books that still get into deep emotions & growth. "Gay Girl Prayers" is great poetry for us queers with a conservative religious background.

November gone,8 books read, 3 more by T. Kingfisher, highly recommend "Bryony and Roses" for Beauty & the Beast fans. It was super hard to pick my favorite between "The Hearthwitch's Guide to Magic and Murder" and "Tempest of Tea ". Ultimately chose Hearthwitch since Tempest ends on a cliffhanger.

October was a month of horror & supernatural. Bob the Drag Queen's first novel was excellent, and you can also listen to two of the songs mentioned in the book. My top pick of October is "A Resistance of Witches" WWII witches, and the narrator was incredible in how she did the three POV characters.

My top book for September was Volatile Memory, but a close 2nd was "The Practice, The Horizon, and The Chain" a hard, hopeful read. I learned a lot from "Braiding Sweetgrass" & understand why its popularity. The Emily Wilde trilogy is fun & a recommendation for those that love tales of the Fae.

It was hectic September and October so I fell behind on my monthly book posts. In both months, I continued through T. Kingfisher's back catalog, I can safely say that she is officially one of my favauthors. She does a great job of weaving humor into all her books, fantasy, romance, or horror.

I'm not stupid, I assume that the driver didn't complete their deliveries, and so I'll have to wait until tomorrow. What I find frustrating is that the technology exists for me to have been informed of this an hour ago, and I wasn't.

I'm so frustrated at UPS. Supposed to receive a package today that requires a signature. Delivery window is 4:30-8:30p. All afternoon/evening I'm waiting, watching the truck map where I can see it's in surrounding neighborhoods. 8:30 rolls around, no package, no update, and the map no longer loads.
