Not sure if anyone has said yet, but if not, pretty sure Campbell is now our youngest ever goalscorer (waiting on GoS to confirm, unless someone else already has) #pafc

The point of that post was pretty clear: Dewsnip needed to go, and just because it seems we've replaced Dewsnip with someone worse at the job, doesn't retroactively make Dewsnip good. It means we still need a better DoF, like before

Going to be a repeat of Blackpool, isn't it, with both our big-money striker and another that we wanted both miss big chances

Seen a small selection of Fox quotes from today. Fair to say that we'd have never signed Katic with that attitude, to pick the first name to spring to mind. And the one about number nines? Nonsense

Per Lancashire Telegraph, P'boro allegedly paid "around Β£1million with 3/400K in add-ons" for Harry Leonard. Rovers Xtra claims Argyle made a "bigger last-minute offer". If true, we've sat on Β£1.5m+ (of the millions in unbudgeted income from 2025) that's been unavailable until the final hours #pafc

If you're charting a political spectrum of Argyle fans, it goes from reactionaries on Twitter on one side to the green-tints on PASOTI on the other. It says a lot that the "centrists" I know are some form of angry too, that speaks to how badly this window was managed

What's the point in investing in expanding our revenue if that's the best we can do? What's the point in a player trading model if this is the squad we end up with? Horribly unbalanced. Too many Muslic players, too many development players, too little depth in key positions

01.09.2025 19:50 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Well, at least that fucking window is over. Started with so much hope and optimism. Ends with us expecting a raft of excuses at the fans' forum. My word, how I've soured in that time. Started it willing to defend AP, but now it's just clearly time to go. What's the point?

01.09.2025 19:50 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The lesson here is
a) don't change your backroom staff in response to manager pressure, they come and go far easier (as Muslic immediately proved)
b) ex-player doesn't qualify you for a role. See Jonathan Walters at Stoke. Hopefully Fox improves

Seeing Dewsnip revisionism. Just because we failed to upgrade (I expect many would argue we downgraded), does not absolve our old DoF of a series of absolute clangers that almost got us relegated, then effectively did relegate us. It's akin to defending Foster when Rooney failed.

Four hours to go, to make signings that should have been in at least four weeks back

Also, can't say I like that the club sanctioned such a project if we're so loss making that we need to make millions in transfer profits to survive. At that stage, you cut back the budgets of other departments too

Such a minor thing, but I don't like Argyle's new website design πŸ˜‚ the UX is much worse imo, makes navigating around the site worse. Bunch of old Argyle TV seasons gone (everything pre 2020/21 I think), match centre miles worse (no links related video content etc)

01.09.2025 11:06 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

There is still too much of this team that's built for a 3-4-3, having once *AGAIN* switched formations for the fifth window in a row. I believe lots of these players can adapt, but only with a strong spine to support them. But the spine also needs adapting, so...

01.09.2025 11:06 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I still don't think we're going to get relegated (though that chatter is getting louder, amplified by the notorious Mr S. Down), but I'll be astounded if we're even discussed r.e. the play-offs come March, save for some significant investment in the first team

01.09.2025 11:06 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Given how the window has gone, I have no expectations for today. It's a safe place to be, expecting nothing, after this past summer. Seemingly too many development players, too much indecision, and a fourth straight window of transfer fee profits

Small thing about the goal, but as Ibrahim loses the duel, Roberts steps forward to press the ball, opening a gap between midfield and defence that three Swansea players attack. Our midfield two is leaving that gap far too often so far this season #pafc

Could hardly have done more defensively, showed that keen awareness of when to invert etc that we saw in pre-season but haven't so much since, generally passed well, and provided leadership that helped solidify the defence and midfield further imo.

27.08.2025 09:18 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

However the shootout goes, brilliant performance given the team we put out. Toss up between Sorinola and Wiredu for MOTM, Edwards and Ibrahim also great. Confidence from beating Blackpool or just more time in training with TC and the team? Promising signs either way #pafc

Go on, what's your lineup? πŸ˜‚

26.08.2025 15:58 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

My guess: LAH; Edwards, Mitchell, Wiredu, Sorinola; Roberts, Boateng; Finn, Benarous, Hatch (Issaka on the bench, not fit enough); Pepple. Ideally Issaka is fit enough to get at least half an hour

Seb Cambell (CM) and Joe Mwaro (FB) both absent for the u18s today. The pair of first year apprentices, both very highly thought of, are likely to have travelled with the senior squad to Swansea. They were both on the bench v QPR, while Campbell was part of the travelling squad v Lincoln #pafc

Finn signing is superb news, congrats to Tegan and the club for getting it over the line! Very good few days for the club after a very, very frustrating few weeks

25.08.2025 19:39 β€” πŸ‘ 12    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I'm just endlessly irritated right now by the decisions being made. They're frequently the wrong ones, obviously the wrong ones, being defended for 6-12 months then admitted as mistakes when they were obviously mistakes from the off

22.08.2025 22:42 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

And it's been a month since the Burrell saga ended. And Tolaj was comfortably a better prospective signing that most of the other names mooted. Plus, we have the money to sign multiple strikers still anyway

22.08.2025 22:41 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

What frustrates me is, if Burrell was Cleverley's first choice, it a) shouldn't have taken three weeks to submit our first bid and b) we should have bid harder and faster to get it done given we had the finances available. This transfer window has been an embarrassment (the latest one)

22.08.2025 22:41 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Hahaha fair enough, I won't get over the incompetence of this transfer window for a long time. Mistake after mistake after strategic fuck up

22.08.2025 14:58 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I find it hard to give credit for paying a release clause for a player that's been available all summer. This has seemed like a blindingly obvious signing for months. Why wait until we've wasted the opening four games of the season? Just frustrated.

22.08.2025 13:39 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

I just give up. I don't know which out of Parkinson, Fox, or Randle are most to blame, but quite frankly we're at a stage when heads should roll. Staggering incompetence this transfer window. Embarrassing. Could they have managed it worse if they'd tried?
