The University of Florida is hosting its first Colloquium on Guaman Poma to be held March 5-6, 2026, in Gainesville, Florida. The colloquium is organized by Dr. Paola Uparela, of the Spanish and Portuguese Studies Department.

Talk "The Saya and the Ship: Gendered Passing in the Spaces of Colonial Bureaucracy", by Juan Manuel Ramírez Velázquez (Colgate University). Thursday, December 4th, 4:30-6pm. Room 9205. Reception will follow. Sponsored by The Program in Global Early Modern Studies and MA in Liberal Studies.
