My first entry is CLEANUP ON AISLE FIVE by Ann Larson (June), where she delves into what it's like to work in a busy grocery store. Well-written and fascinating, I will never, ever, argue or get mad at a cashier again, even after my disastrous self-check-out experience this morning. #ewgc

According to what I saw, it's about 3 hours behind in searching. I posted an update and asked everyone to RT. And I would add to just keep posting and then later check the tag and compile.

I'm also eager to read John Searles's next book, SINGLE GIRLS (July), based on the early career of Helen Gurley Brown. Searles should know his stuff since he's been with Cosmo for a long time. #ewgc

Christina Baker Kline has a new book coming out next May, THE FOURSOME, based on the marriages of Chang and Eng. Apparently, it's based on the author's distant relatives. I am very eager to read it. #ewgc

Clare Caro Burke's April release, YESTERYEAR, is getting a lot of attention and rightly so. I think we all need a good time-travel novel, and this harkens back to Marlis Milhiser's THE MIRROR, one of my favorite books. #EWGC

I gasped when I saw that Patricia Cornwell has a memoir coming out in May, TRUE CRIME. I remember the warm welcome she received with her first book (both me and library patrons) in 1989. This promises to be "achingly honest," so we shall see... #ewgc

The next Alice Feeney psychological suspense, MY HUSBAND'S WIFE (late January), is a doozy and a mindblower. I'm still not sure I figured everything out, but it's one of her best books to date. #ewgc

Still catching up from 2025 pubs but I read a few good ones coming this winter/spring. 1st is a novella from #NetGalley by the popular author, Gregg Hurwitz, THE DELIVERY (June). It read at a breakneck pace but will still scare you with what AI could become. #ewgc

I'm sorry to say I may or may not make it today; seems Thursdays have become our errand day and it's "iffy" if we'll be home in time for GC. I timed a few books to post but I'm still not reading as many forthcoming books but thinking that will change soon. #ewgc

I know I'm not alone in choosing THE CORRESPONDENT by Virginia Evans as my top choice for #libfaves25 . This book inspired a long-distance friend and me to start writing monthly letters, and it is a lovely feeling of reconnection.

My day 9 #libfabes25 choice is Cameron Crowe's THE UNCOOL. Little did he know that he was actually "ultra" cool when he was a teenager & touring with bands of the 1970s to write articles for Rolling Stone magazine. And then went on to write and direct movies, including Almost Famous.

My #libfaves25 choice for day 8 is Clare Leslie Hall's novel, BROKEN COUNTRY. You'll cry and you'll cheer in this tale of what happens to a family when a lost love reappears in their lives.

It does make me very happy, though.

You guys, I am discovering so many new books I missed during #libfaves25 that I am maxing out my library holds! And there are still 3 days left!

My choice for day 7 of #libfaves25 is Jennifer E Smith's FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. At their famous sister's request, four estranged siblings gather for a weekend of revelations. I needed a Costco-sized box of tissues for this "family finding family" tale.

I love that this is gaining momentum among readers. A few months ago, I called it the next "Remarkably Bright Creatures."

Today's favorite book for #libfaves is the little-known FREE RIDE: Heartbreak, Courage, and the 20,000-Mile Motorcycle Journey that Changed My Life. Noraly's experiences in riding a motorcycle around the world are jaw-dropping and fascinating.

Today's choice for #libfaves25 is Deanne Raybourn's wonderfully entertaining thriller, KILLS WELL WITH OTHERS, featuring the return of the kick-ass 60-something women assassins introduced in KILLERS OF A CERTAIN AGE.

Missed yesterday #libfaves25 so catching up. I loved Patrick Ryan's historical family novel, BUCKEYE. At the close of WWII, two families become entwined and spend the next 40 years trying to overcome their mistakes.
