After several more weeks of letting them grow, I finally decided to repot them and pull them apart. For what plan, I don't know. But there was a little surprise. What I thought was two acorns was actually twins!

Several months ago I gave up on a plant that did not transition indoors very well. In lazy protest, I hung the pot from the curtain rod in my kitchen window and after a few weeks, something sprouted.

Turns out, two pin oak trees, buried by a squirrel before the last plant departed.
