It’s interesting how a party and its supporters, who INSIST they definitely aren’t racist, seem deeply upset about how people of Muslim faith voted. It’s almost as if demonising a community based on their religion has consequences. Weird, huh?

Very true. Potter, for all his faults, had a clear plan and tactical approach that was evident from his first game in charge. 18 months in, I still couldn’t tell you how Hurzeler wants us to play beyond the buzz words he uses in post match interviews (which are seldom evident anyway).

I think the only way Hurzeler is relieved of his duties before May is if we slip into the bottom 3 and even then I don’t think Bloom will hand him his P45. I get the impression Bloom and Barber are assuming we won’t be dragged into the relegation scrap so there’s nothing to worry about… 🙃

This narrative is so tiresome. Maybe Labour should focus on being a party worth voting for rather than meekly trotting out the “bUt yOu’Ll SpLiT tHe vOtE” nonsense.

Agreed. To be fair, I didn’t expect Bloom to relieve Hurzeler of his duties before the summer at the earliest. Unless the situation becomes very serious, I expect him to see out the season.

It was generally better, sure, but the result ultimately was the same. If this was something we’d seen once in a blue moon, I’d be more sympathetic. But this has been a longstanding issue since Hurzeler was appointed and it seems far more of a systemic issue than simply ‘bad luck’.

The huff and puff against Villa was better. But let’s not kid ourselves. It was still one half of absolutely dire football and one half of being the better team, not capitalising on it, and conceding late on. These are the hallmarks of Hurzeler’s tenure as our head coach.
