You can’t see much out of these windows as last week’s Blizzard of 2026 blows snow against them. There is a red wreath of berries hanging in the middle window. I don't particularly care which image is 'better.' But, especially in a field like wildlife photography where almost any image you could want to capture has already been captured, what a lot of people don't understand is that the act of making the image is what's special to the creator and audience.

DC journalists have a golden opportunity.

Just say something like "since they will be honoring an avowed enemy of free speech and a free press, I will not be attending the Correspondents' Association dinner this year."

It's telling how many will not, even when handed to them on a silver platter.
