A Wizard of Earthsea: Graphic Novel by Ursula K Le Guin
The Fate of Podkin One-Ear by Kieran Larwood
Finding Bear by Hannah Gold
The Earthsea graphic novel would be a lovely gift, as would the final Podkin book, The Fate of Podkin One-Ear, by @kieranlarwood.bsky.social. And I know my daughter is expecting Father Christmas to bring Finding Bear by @hannahgold.bsky.social!

The Giant Under the Snow by John Gordon. A horned figure and a wolf in a snowy wood.
The Midnight Folk by John Masefield. A witch on a broom, with various animals, including a rat and an owl
I completely agree about Hogfather and The Dark Is Rising.
I also love The Giant Under the Snow by John Gordon and The Midnight Folk (and The Box of Delights) by John Masefield

Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame
Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
The Coral Island by R.M. Ballantyne
All obvious ones, but some of the greatest children’s writers ever were Scottish, including J.M. Barrie, Kenneth Grahame, R. M. Ballantyne, Eric Linklater, and Robert Louis Stevenson.

The cover of E.H. Gombrich's A Little History of the World, with an illustration showing a figure walking down a path from the woods to a town
It's very old now, obviously, but A Little History of the World by E.H. Gombrich is still a brilliant history book for children

Mommy? by Maurice Sendak
Funnybones by Janet & Allan Ahlberg
The Ghost of Thomas Kempe by Penelope Lively
Mr Corbett's Ghost by Leon Garfield
For smaller kids, I'd say Mommy? by Maurice Sendak and Matthew Reinhart – possibly the greatest pop-up book ever! And the Ahlbergs' classic Funnybones.
For older children, I'd suggest Penelope Lively's The Ghost of Thomas Kempe and Leon Garfield's Mr Corbett's Ghost.
