Jabari Walker had his best shooting/scoring and hustle/rebounding game on the same night Wednesday as he led the Sixers to a win over the Utah Jazz. Walker finished with 22 points (4-7 3P) and 10 boards.

The deadline has passed for teams to sign two-way contracts for the remainder of the season, so the Sixers will be sticking with Tyrese Martin, Dalen Terry and MarJon Beauchamp the rest of the way.

Jabari Walker woke up excited to play today. He got a new car. Not even 30 minutes into driving it, he got it scratched backing up into a pole. It was his first time driving in a while. An “unfortunate” event, he called it. He decided he would flush it and focus on basketball.

Nick Nurse on the Watford/Barlow/Bona frontcourt tonight:

“We got off to a really good start. I think that lineup hasn't been so great this year. One of you guys keeps reminding me of that... I thought it was the right move to get Watford in the starting lineup”

Instant observations: Jabari Walker saves Sixers vs. tanking Jazz Playing without four starters, the Sixers bungled a chance to notch a stress-free win on Wednesday over short-handed Utah.

Wrote about Jabari Walker, who was the only player on the Sixers to really bring any juice tonight. It swung the game in their favor.

Hard to imagine a less inspiring win than that one, but the Sixers have won a basketball game. A ton of weird rotation stuff. Story to come!

Kyle Filipowski had a good look at a go-ahead three and missed it. Jabari Walker grabbed his 10th rebound of the game and hit two free throws to (seemingly) ice it. Walker has 22 points. Awesome game for him – the only guy who brought it tonight, and it's going to swing the game.

Tyrese Maxey and Quentin Grimes go guard-to-guard screen and Grimes draws a foul. He has a chance to give the Sixers the lead at the foul line with 16.4 seconds left. Grimes just tied the game with a driving layup.

Tyrese Maxey cleared out against Ace Bailey with the game tied and turned it over. Isaiah Collier scores the other way to give the Jazz the lead with 64 seconds left. Timeout Nick Nurse.

Against all odds, Keyonte George is back in the game, and he hits a three. Sixers have Maxey/Lowry/Martin/Walker/Bona out there inside of six minutes left, trailing by five points. I would get Grimes in there for Lowry ASAP.

Kyle Lowry is in the game in the fourth quarter. Sixers are down two with 8:20 left.

Sixers have gotten an eight-point burst from Tyrese Martin here and they now lead by three. For what it's worth, I would imagine Utah's best (available) players will not get back in this game.

Sixers will open the fourth quarter with Cam Payne, Tyrese Martin, Justin Edwards, Jabari Walker and Dominick Barlow on the floor. No Andre Drummond after two more missed threes tonight.

After three: Jazz 83, Sixers 82.

Sixers continued to look like a team going through the motions until the final minutes of the third quarter. Tyrese Maxey, up to 29 minutes, will *probably* sit to start the final frame. Sixers could use a spirited push without him.

Jabari Walker checks back into the game and immediately scores off an offensive rebound. Sixers need some intensity right now, still very much going through the motions and are now down.

Felt like the Sixers were sleepwalking their way to a lead there. Utah has never led, but the Sixers have not landed any haymakers.

Jabari Walker (5-5 FG, 4-4 3P) leads all scorers with 15 points. Tyrese Maxey (14 points) right behind him.

Asked Jabari Walker last night if he thought the momentum from his 20 garbage-time points could carry into tonight's game and he said he wished he didn't even have to sleep and could just play the next game now. He just knocked down two early threes.
