As I do flood risk assessments for residents of particular places, I've considered neighbourhood flood water 'sinks' like this, but in most instances there's nowhere for it to go that is useful to those residents. Towns in NS have been developed with little to no capacity for storm water management.

I had my hopes up late last night after two hours of counting 750 ballots from one of the advance polls, and over 50% of them going to the #Liberal candidate. The #Acadie-Annapolis riding is broad and very divided - a political microcosm of #Canada in general. I hope that our MP remembers this.

Mixed feelings this morning. Some relief that a majority of Canadian voters rejected PP & the Maple MAGA Conservative movement. Disappointment that my #NovaScotia riding stayed as a Con hold by a margin that I predicted would be slim. The NDP vote split cost Ronnie Leblanc a deserved seat in Ottawa.

Two hours left to #vote in the #Canada #Federal #election. Things have been relatively quiet at my polling station in toss up riding #Acadie-Annapolis - if you haven’t voted or know somebody that is still to vote, now’s the time.
