Foundation homes hold their value and are built a lot more sturdy, and to have a small backyard does reduce maintenance. However I do wish to have more space to work on cars and it may be a struggle on a house like that.

Starting my serious house search and at the moment the choices are small foundation homes and mobile homes with external garages and on a big lot. I like what’s offered on a mobile home but the low safety in storms is a minus, plus they depreciate in value a lot and need refurbishing every so often
