After the picture description, l have included a poem inspired by this shot. Our picture shows a dramatic evening sky just after sunset. The lower half of the sky burns with intense colour. Bright reds, molten oranges, and streaks of glowing gold as if a fire were smouldering behind the clouds. The light is strongest near the horizon, where the sun has just dipped below view, illuminating the underside of thick clouds. Above this fiery band, the sky deepens into purples and indigo blues. Heavy, layered clouds stretch across the entire frame, their edges soft and smoky, some darker and dense, others thin enough to glow from within. The colours blend from warm at the bottom to cool at the top, creating a striking contrast between heat and shadow. At the very bottom of the image, rooftops form a dark silhouette, simple, angular shapes with chimneys barely visible. Bare tree branches reach upward in thin, delicate lines, their outlines sharp against the glowing sky. The buildings and trees are completely black, offering no detail, which makes the sky feel even more vast and powerful above them. The overall feeling is dramatic and slightly stormy, yet beautiful. A sky that looks alive, shifting, and full of energy. Finally, our picture is finished with a white border frame. And now for my poem.. I call it… Embers in the Sky The day does not end quietly, it burns. Flames of crimson lick the underbelly of cloud, while shadows gather like folded wings above. Roofs bow in silence, trees lift their thin hands as if in prayer to the fading fire. Between night’s blue breath and daylight’s dying spark the sky remembers how to blaze. And in that fleeting blaze we are reminded, even endings can set the world alight.

For #Stunday. It's my place of refuge. Few know about it. It's a hopeful place for solitude and for solitary figures. Those trees are gone now, they fell into the river. But I have many pictures of them. Enough to last a lifetime.
