i stopped believing in God the same way i stopped believing in Santa. it simply didn't make any sense as i got older

we quit going to church when they kept hitting us up for money. seemed to be their only goal

we're not rich and also were/are dealing with illness in the family. my parents didn't explain this then, we just stopped going, which was a relief to me (wanted to stay home and play video games on sunday)
