You would think so, but I played the SNES version too, and it's a whole different beast from the 8-bit ones (the NES and GB are very similar). Same basic story, but all new stages, better graphics, and a much longer game. Astérix feels "heavier" and moves slower, and that really hurts the gameplay.

Love your little DBZ collection there in the last picture! I was a big fan of DBZ back in the day too. Most games were pretty good also, especially the fighting games. I always play as Vegeta if I get the chance 😜

You play as a patient going to therapy with the psychiatrist asking increasingly disturbing questions. It's a lot of fun trying to get all three endings. Recommended!

Cool beat! What did you think of the game? Have you played other Ys games as well? I only ever beat 1,2 (PSP) and 5 (SFC). I'm currently playing the PSP remake of 3 on and off. I think they are fun games.

#JustBeatIt @polykillpodcast.bsky.social No.211 Magic Knight Rayearth (GB). Patch by LIPEMCO! It surprises with charming sprites and clean visuals that capture the anime’s spirit. Sadly, the gameplay is so easy it barely challenges. I enjoyed the 1 hour game, but it's very shallow for an RPG.

Sluggish, boring, and no special moves. While I had fun (for the 10 whole minutes the game lasts), not recommended.
