And it continues. It’s been over a week now that I’ve been focusing on studying natural proportions on my head drawings. Still so much to learn. Here another little insight of my daily sketch sessions

Day two of my Loomis practice to get more accurate head proportions. I decided to continue doing this over the newly week and see where it will take me.

Practicing the Andrew Loomis method to get the proportions on my head drawings right. Currently struggling mostly with the measurements of the eyes.

This is a little drawing exercise I love to do when I get stuck. Simply draw a combination of three geometric shapes together in changing proportions to get simple silhouettes. Afterwards draw in some details and get some funny faces out of it.

With this illustration series, I wanted to capture the raw energy of the Vans Old Skool by bringing it to life in a bold, explosive composition. My work is a tribute to the creativity and freedom that Vans has always stood for me.

Warm up sketch. Still trying to get better at natural human proportions.

Another portrait practice with ball point pen in my sketchbook. Although it may not show in the edit those studies take me still a lot of time but for now I rather spend some extra time to get things right and improve speed over time.

Back to the Ball Point Sketches. Portraits are tough.

So I wanted to continue working for n some sketches from the past few days. I think it’s also an important exercise to bring sketches to a more final look, experiment with styles and try out new things without being too precious about it and still go the whole journey.

I lately have noticed that I start to see the volumes of my drawings more clearly. I think that practicing basic volumes in perspective helped a lot to see volumes and planes now more clearly in complex shapes. Made it so much fun lately to draw.

Good morning world. Haven’t been drawing for the last two days. Inspiration and motivation levels are as high as they can get. Can’t wait to get to the studio and get my hands on some pen and paper.

Here a bit of #mixedmedia #illustratiom.M. I started sketching out some idea on paper in and added some stuff on the iPad to the sketch. For me the process is what’s the most exiting for me. Each step ads to the artwork and should be visible in the final result. The journey itself is the artwork.
