also a fun project bc as i was measuring all the pieces and looking at grainlines i saw how the dimensions of the chair were chosen to best utilize a 54” wide roll of fabric with very little waste. mine made more because i made envelope style covers, but i got to use some cabbage for the ties

no corners cut except for the ones i literally cut to box out the pillows corners so they wouldn’t look pointy and evil and make me hiss like a goose

making cushion covers for my egg chair felt like a herculean task but i wanted to fill my “”””down”””” time at my parents house with something productive. i have finally finished and it’s got all the functionality and washability i always force myself to inject into what should be simple projects.

anyway i made chicken tinola and pork sinigang and they were both great

i also like that i am getting to try them for the first time and letting her experience these dishes again after decades away from home. added benefit of making my dad fend for himself if he doesn’t like the food i cook.

we were watching more drag race and my dad came home and changed the TV to some shit on magnolia network then said he was going outside to mow. so I asked my mom if she wanted to keep watching what he changed it to or keep watching drag race and she said of course drag race

i forgot i said i was going to do this but i got my mom started watching rupaul’s drag race (it’s introductory level queer media for straight people) and she loves it. she let me know three times.
