Another day of waiting for the next episodes of Bridgerton 😔

I made Bánh Mì for dinner tonight and it was soooo so so yummy 😋

I'm trying to learn literature analytical skills and it's SO HARD when I've always read for pleasure. But everyone in my book club is smarter than me so I'm learning 😔

Sometimes it's just really nice to put down my big boy books and read some light and fluffy fanfic that's easy on the brain tho

TCMC comes Monday (hopefully) so now I need to figure out what to read until then 🤔

I want to start reading the Count of Monte Cristo already... Barnes and Noble I need you to ship my boooook 😩

The internet hosts some of the dumbest arguments known to man lmao

Book club books were sold out at my local bookstores so I have to order them online smh 😔

At least I was able to get ONE book I was wanting while I was there, even if it's not for the book club. And I got a handful of journals

Mad that my Costco doesn't open til 10 for normal members. I wanted to beat the sunday crowds 😭

My dream is to have a beauty and the beast style library in my home where I can spend all my time. "Dream job" this and "dream car" that. No. I don't care about any of that stuff! Only dream personal library.

I just paid off my last bit of student loans! It feels good to be debt free ☺️

I'm so happy I joined a book club this year. And it's more academically minded than I would have expected, so it's very engaging and interesting, moreso than if we were just reading pop fantasy like I tend to on my own. The year is young but I'm excited to see what it has in store for me!

I always loved broccoli as a kid (and still now)! Every time I saw that on tv I was like "dang these guys must've never tried it with ranch 😔"

Gonna go buy like 4 new books this weekend but it's okay since I've already read 5 this year right 🥺

Might get some new journals too, I like to have a couple on reserve for when I finish my current one.

Spent too much time on web development instead of reading today. 😔

But at least I'm happy with the progress to my website! It's shaping up nicely.

Relevant to note that we'd ALREADY BEEN TALKING about her finances in relation to retirement with her getting set up in a new retirement community and talking about how she would afford it using the money in her retirement account. So the question really didn't seem that crazy to me

I recall a time last year where I asked my grandma about how much she has in retirement (because I'd been learning more about personal finance and wanted to see how her example shaped up to the goalposts I'd seen) and everyone looked at me like I'd grown a second head for even daring to ask

I really wish money weren't such a touchy subject for people. Like, I'm so tired of getting weird looks or comments, especially from close family who rely on each other's finances, when I'm just trying to have an open conversation about money/affordability of certain things

I was still occasionally checking Twitter for updates from Hololive and other creators that haven't moved over here yet, but it just doesn't feel worth it anymore for even that. It feels too manic, too sharp for me now. I guess this is my official goodbye forever to Twitter. It's been...something.

I think the difference between a good book and a great book is whether it changes you. I have read many wonderful books which I adore, but which have not changed me. And I have books where I can trace the marks they've left on me, where I can see that I was a different person before and after them.

Sometimes you try a new app and it feels like you're a fish in a new stream. You belong in the water but you just need to figure out how the currents run here before you can call it home. This is about storygraph for me - not sure how I have gone this long without getting set up there!

I think The Night Circus really affected my taste from quite a young age. I'm not sure when I first read it - must have been late elementary school or middle school. But just about every aspect is something I still carry with me in my daily life. Perhaps I could be considered a rêveur, myself 🌹
