Every elected Dem needs to put full pressure on the GOP. It has to be unrelenting, loud, and clearly calling out their hate. We need fighters.

HB264 was sent to amending order. While we would rather see it defeated in committee, this at least slows it down and gives us a chance to push for changes—harm reduction. It’s not a win, but it’s not a loss either.

Governor Little should be helping Idahoans, instead of targeting immigrant communities and wasting taxpayer dollars.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Now is not the time to retreat from our values. It’s time to double down. Wear them proudly. This is proof of what is possible.

Everybody who says they love & support trans people—it’s time to speak loudly and often that you are opposed to this. That you support us. Get informed. Pay attention. Donate your money to mutual aid orgs who are giving that money to trans & non-binary folks. Show up. I need to see this from you.

It may feel inconsequential to you, but it clearly didn’t to the LGBTQIA2S+ community and the many many people who have people they love in this community. So hear that at the very least. We expect our Dems to have our back at every step. Period.

Let me pose a diff perspective, as I’m one who has been particularly vocal on this. I didn’t win my election, but I understand how this works. The strategy that has been, no longer serves us. The R’s will do what they want. We need the base to see we can push back. We’ll keep losing seats otherwise.
