I’m working on a video about this, and wanting a little of others’ reflections.

Each of them holds a profoundly sad and painful memory, which 33 years and 16 years on respectively still bite hard. Driving past, which is largely unavoidable with reasonable frequency, gives a wave of sadness, regret, watery eyes, “if onlys” and visceral punched in the gut feelings.

What do you do to help deal with places which cause you pain? Remind you of bad and sad moments? Especially if near them regularly?

I stopped at two motorway service stations to stare a couple demons in the face to see if they’d back off…

And part of today’s efforts. Getting this #Tick removed at A&E. Couldn’t manage it myself even with the tool, so a couple hours waiting at the minor injuries / conditions to get it sorted. Now the fifth tick in three years 😬 I hate them. Anyway thank the #NHS it’s now out.
