TB is a leading infectious global killer, and causes debilitating illness in > 10 mill/yr. This is all due to neglect. TB is curable if diagnostic & treatment services are available to those at risk. WHO & Stop TB lead the fight to End TB. Recent USG actions negate key contributions - at our peril.

CDC team running top survey on health and nutrition is laid off NHANES has collected data on eating patterns, diabetes, and other common diseases for decades. The CDC team that runs it has been fired.

The shuttering of CDC's NCHS and NHANES is yet another blow that puts our nation's health in peril. We will lose information about health services, hospitalization, ER visits, office visits, and individual warning signs related to any emerging outbreaks. Terrible.
