mamdani win. nothing to do at work today so i got to finalize my pax unplugged schedule while on the clock. had a super productive meeting with administrators about improving accessibility on campus. things might be looking up, just a bit.

just got off of a call for my official first project as a disability sensitivity reader / consultant! super excited to have the chance to finally break into this work, because it’s something i’ve wanted to pursue for a while.

even the smartest folks whose takes i otherwise appreciate, who otherwise want to resist fascism themselves & encourage others to, find wearing a mask in, at least, public indoor spaces—to prevent the harms of this administration from impacting others—to be a bridge too far; it’s shameful, frankly.

Now Once people started waking up with a headache and biting their neighbors before dinner, things got chaotic fast. Major metropolitan areas turned into swirling vortexes of the infected, dying, and undead. Stores emptied, power and phone lines went dead, the military couldn't agree on what to do before they were overpowered. Families scattered or locked themselves inside, everyone trying to get a leg up on someone else.
