I code and break things. Mostly Laravel-based apps - with a touch of Vue.js and some Golang projects.

27.06.2025 20:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't get it... what's so hard about that? π
25.04.2025 10:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I recently used JSON strings with the English sentence as the default for the first time in a somewhat larger project. On the one hand, I found it very pleasant, but I can already see that it will be more complicated if I have to make adjustments in the future.
30.12.2024 17:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh sorry @forst.dev I completely overlooked the reduction in included traffic in your screenshot.
28.11.2024 14:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Still totally worth it and quite a bit cheaper than DigitalOcean, right? The closest you get to the CX22 is like $32/mo dollars at DO (which is 120GB NVME storage vs 40GB, but also only 4TB of included traffic vs 20TB with Hetzner).
28.11.2024 14:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I didn't expect it to touch me so much. You have found wonderful words to express the emotional chaos. Wish you and your family all the best.
19.11.2024 18:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Also as a Laravel Forge User I recently started to really build a workflow based on this extension. Opening the site on forge via quick access or dispatching a deploy can be quite useful. Sure you could use the CLI for this as well, but to me it even feels more at hand with Raycast.
18.11.2024 18:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Install the table plus extension > search databases > search
the db within the connections you stored in tableplus > hit enter to open it in Tableplus.
Maybe it doesnβt sound like much but I really like this workflow.
For me itβs mostly these:
- window management
- Tableplus quick access for databases
- screenshot history / copying them to clipboard
- searching gifs
- controlling Spotify from keyboard
Laravel / Livewire People:
Default Livewire, Volt class-based or Volt functional - what do you prefer?
I think for me it was WBB - I was a teenager, had no idea what I was doing, and didn't even know what a code editor was. Windows Notepad all the way.
03.11.2024 21:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wow, same for me. π Which forum software was it?
03.11.2024 21:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I really like how much activity has come into my feed in the last few days. π€©
26.10.2024 11:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What has happened again? It's the umpteenth time Twitter/X has died in the last few years. π
It's always nice to see a new wave of activity on an alternative platform like this.
Nice π
11.10.2024 13:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Haha yes! The closing php tag alone felt so wrong when I first saw it.
11.10.2024 00:48 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Where does this come from? Which repo/PR?
03.10.2024 18:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Great headline π
22.09.2024 08:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love Bruno and the idea behind it. I'm always happy when I see that it's slowly spreading.
10.08.2024 14:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It definitely seems like a very niche use case. I'm surprised that something like this made it into the framework, as the numbers helper is macroable, so if you really need it for your app, you could add it yourself.
27.06.2024 17:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No worries, it happens to everyone! Glad you figured it out!
27.06.2024 16:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That doesnβt sound like much modifications at all. But without actually seeing the code I donβt know how I may be able to help. Could you provide a GitHub repo link?
Surely must be something with the route registration or permissions from the policy.
I agree. I'm always in favor of notifications too. Also, the fact that a plain text version is automatically created, which is so easily forgotten with Mailables, which then frustrates users who block HTML emails, is a top reason for me to always go with notifications when possible.
27.06.2024 12:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It seems more likely that it is not due to laravel itself but a usage problem. I think more details are needed to be able to help.
27.06.2024 11:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My first instinct was definitely the handle method. I find the syntax expresses the intention a bit more explicitly, and Iβd say it's more "typical" in the Laravel context. But However, Iβve never seen or used invokable actions for this use case before. Itβs actually a very interesting idea. π€
13.06.2024 06:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wait, am I missing something or is dev.to really missing dynamic dark mode support?
22.05.2024 21:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I was very skeptical at the beginning when they were introduced. But I'm learning to appreciate them more and more.
19.10.2023 10:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hi there π
It's great to see you here!
Sounds great. Especially the team retreat π
Have a great time!
Is there already an eta for v4? Days, weeks or months? π
