I disagree, there's a lot of long winded essays, for example on YouTube, about games that just analyze their depth and leaving the question of if it's a good product or not out of scope

There's a reason why there's no "critiques" of frying pans. The objective of a "critique" is not to decide if a product is worth buying or not, or a movie worth watching or not. It's to analyze its artistic merits or lack thereof

Though the two terms are interchanged, a review is mostly what you refer to here, while a critique is an analysis of a certain piece of art on artistic merits, not as a product
