The Great Depression was a time where resources were scarce, and people had to conserve as much as they could, especially when it came to food. Below are some of the most popular foods during that time. 1/4

Other things went poorly in the event, such as a guest (ND Stevenson) having to moderate their own panel due to the moderator failing to show. Last but not least, the event itself was lackluster, boasting a kiddie pool full of plastic balls as one of the attractions in the event. (image below) 4/5

It is assumed that the organizers did this as low turnout caused them to be unable to pay the fees associated with hosting such an event. On top of money issues, the attendance of the event was much lower than expected, only being 350 rather than the expected 3,000-7,000 attendees. 3/5

On the night of September 7th, farmers and other fighters stormed Fort Provintia, and the Dutch sent reinforcements, defeating the rebels. In the aftermath, the Dutch added reinforcements to the fort, and monitored citizens more closely, failing to address the issues that led to the revolt. 4/5
