When I was a kid I restarted my Leaf Green cartridge because I wanted to play as a girl (because for some reason that seemed really fun and appealing??) and one time my cousin looked over my shoulder and asked me why I was playing as a girl and I had to lie and say it was to differentiate save files

my hottest 40k take is that the "waaaa there shouldn't be female space marines!!!11!!!" crowd is misguided, there shouldn't be "male" space marines either. once you undergo the surgeries and genetic altering to make an astartes, whatever you were, your sex and gender is now Space Marine

What I love most about 40k is that everyone is such a dipshit. Like, if the Emperor could get off his throne and actually see his empire, he would burn it all to the ground.
It's a story of good intent being corrupted to the core with no shining white knights remaining
