Set in modern day Tokyo, this is an action RPG by Nihon Falcom.
With a "Persona" style setting and storytelling and modern era "Ys" style combat, it was different than the previous Xanadu titles.

following that, caine finally breaks and episode 9 is potentially where the show goes all out in wearing its' i have no mouth influence on its' sleeve
this could very well be 99% wrong but i just wanted to get this out there

each flashback proves to be more traumatizing and opens up worse and more severe old wounds/painful memories than the last, culminating with kinger's, where he remembers and reveals... something about the true nature of the circus and their situation, leaving them all more shattered than ever before

my prediction for episode 8:
in trying to get the gang to forgive him, caine forcefully sends them all on a series of flashback adventures to make them remember the "good times" they've had in the circus and with each other... and it completely blows up in his face

ep 8 is most likely going to be a hard pill to swallow for us caine fans so here's a cute little man to make up for that
