These don’t maybe align with my personal politics but both Iran’s Grand Strategy by Nasr or Revolutionary Iran by Axworthy are good sources just on how their government operates- but even Wikipedia has a good amount of info on how the government is formed/ works internally

I honestly avoid talking about internal Iran stuff since people tried to get me fired for pointing out that an obviously fake story about Iran was obviously fake a few years ago (which it was later proven to be obviously fake)- but I would suggest you try to learn about Iran’s government on your own

I don’t know how this goes- the US and Israel have shown no capacity to follow any rules of war or common sense but Iran is not Iraq

They also control with Oman the Strait of Hormuz (big reason why they didn’t bomb Oman)- something like 20% of the world’s oil goes through there

Also because of sanctions they have internal capacity to make a lot of their weapons- oh and they are surrounded by mountains on three sides so lots of places to hide them
