In further litter box news: just now Monty used his box and the kittens sat right next to it, openly staring while he did his business. I guess I'm not alone in having the kids hover outside the bathroom door while I use the human toilet. How am I raising a couple of weird piss voyeurs?

Dexter says hey

The kittens have each taken a play-swipe at the tip of Monty's tail today and were met with a stern glance and a brief meow respectively: NO swats or hissing! They're not friends yet, but it's progress

Cat update: currently sitting on the bed with all three cats for the first time. Monty is chilling next to me while the kittens chase each other around (they really love to run and jump on the mattress).

While I was in the bathroom, she managed to scale the wall, jump into the bedroom, and munch on some of Monty's food, which I've been keeping strictly separate because it's mixed with his meds. Time for a worrisome evening of watching the little girl in case she made herself sick 😬

Oh great: at 12 weeks old, Delia can now jump over the approximately 3-foot-high cardboard barrier I've been using to separate the kids from Monty with open doors.

Got the kids a new suitably goth set of food bowls so they wouldn't have to keep literally butting heads while eating from the same bowl. This is their first time using it and I see there's a bit of a learning curve 🙄

Today in Kitten Hijinks: while walking on the back of the couch, Dexter noticed a mysterious protrusion jutting from the wall above him. Upon stretching up to give it a nudge, the room mysteriously went dark.

It was the lightswitch. Li'l dude accidentally figured out how to turn off the light.

Dexter also voluntarily hopped into my lap for snuggles for the first time today, happily purring away. He's gonna be a lap cat for sure

Worth noting I've now seen three (3) instances of Monty and Delia briefly touching noses without issue. I expect they'll become friends first because Delia's personality is closer than Dexter's (the kitten in the video) to Monty's
