Sylvain did his best to ignore the ensuing bickering. Instead, he focused on Dimitri. “Come out with me.” He said it as bluntly as he could. “…” Dimitri looked like he was mentally reviewing Dunbar’s Social Brain Hypothesis. “We have already eaten dinner with Ingrid and Felix…I am unsure what benefit going out would pose, given that we have practice tomorrow.” “Fine. Let me rephrase. Come chat with some girls with me.” Even the bickering behind Dimitri stopped. “I….sorry, I do not believe I heard you correct—“ “Girls!” Sylvain practically screamed it, his voice echoing down the hall in a way that made Dimitri flinch back into the room. “You! Me! Out of here! Look man, I’m losing my mind here. I’ve been going to all the practices, I’ve been working hard! I haven’t spoken to a cute girl in weeks!” “That is not true. We have spoken with—“ “Ingrid doesn’t count. She’s one of our closest friends. Not that that’s stopping your romantic ventures or anything.” Dimitri stood up a little straighter, eyes glancing behind him like his roommates were going to say something. “I am afraid I do not—?” Sylvain groaned, shaking his head. “You guys are so— fine, forget I said anything. I just need some time to go hang out! Decompress! Have a good time! And after watching you practice, I think you need it too. Before it all spills out your ears.” That finally made Dimitri hesitate. He still looked unsure, maybe even a little nervous, but his resistance had creased. The bend in his will was thick. Visible. “…alright,” Dimitri muttered, grabbing off to his side and producing his keys, “I will accompany you on your…endeavor.”

And one more cut scene from A Little Light. It actually would have added some context, so maybe I’ll finish it later and toss it in as an add-on.
Mostly revolves around Sylvain taking Dimitri out to chat up girls during the idol intensive.
…And Sylvain nodding to dmlx b/c I have no control.

Promotional Content— Ch12, first signing P3: Signing (normal scene) Not terribly popular, so the crowd is small Mostly ends up being AZURE sitting at long tables and chatting/chilling with Sylvain sponsored drinks and snacks They’re advertised as being approachable, so it’s easy enough to act like the friend group they are Dimitri has lots of people drop by for autographs People love Annette, so people who don’t even know what they’re there for go and chat with her Felix gets a mix Those who are terrified of him but adore him Those who hate his guts It’s so polarizing, there’s no in between Sylvain gets a lot of guys (weirdly enough) and starts helping Felix mitigate For those who are scared of him, Sylvain smooths over the interaction For those who hate him, Sylvain basically gets all “girl I know you didn’t” to drive them off before Felix actually attacks someone Ingrid has an interesting mix of people who love her sharp moves and nononsende attitude…and a lot of people who want to call her mommy She’s concerned

Another cut scene from A Little Light that never made it past outlining. Time constraints made me pull back, and while this scene would have been fun, it wasn’t necessary for character bonding or plot.

Also shown is the idea that I thought the concert would be in chapter 4. Very laughable. It’s chapter 12.

(Concert)(takes place immediately following the backstage selfie) The lights were blinding. Dimitri wasn’t sure what he was expecting when he took his que and stepped out into the spotlights. Faces in the crowd, maybe— like searching for family during a school performance. But faces were swamped by a sea of darkness, the only sign of life the glistening LEDs of azure, cyan, red, gold, and pink. Muscle memory kept his feet in time. Instinct and training had him singing words he barely understood, somehow managing not to stumble on a single one. The faceless crowd roared his handle— “ALEX”— and swooned. His ears were ringing, even through the in-ear that flashed silver under the lights, counting out 8s in clicks. If Dimitri wasn’t so focused on giving the crowd what they paid for he’d probably be choking on a frog right now. He hated the eyes on him, hated the expectations. And then there was Annie, bright and spinning onto the stage. The vocals soared over the front row and ricocheted off the back wall. She winked and trotted over to Alex’s side, then took his hand. The crowd was nearly crying approval, which became an uproar when JSyl, Gala, and Fray convened in formation across the back screens and advanced like the concert was a war and they were the front lines. Dimitri smiled at them, back turned to the crowd for a heartbeat. Annette offered him a little wink. And then AZURE clicked into their signature 5-member formation, Alex in the center, Fray and JSyl on the outer edges, just in time for the chorus to hit hard.

Just a quick, cute, cut scene from A Little Light. When I started writing the debut concert, it was actually from Dimitri’s perspective. Had to remove this chunk to switch to crowd perspective, because a concert from fan perspective is fun. From performer perspective (esp Mitty)…not so fun lol

A preview for the upcoming Kpop idol AU featuring Dimitri Blaiddyd. The text passage reads as follows: “It was late. Dimitri wasn’t even sure why he was awake, just knew that he couldn’t keep sleeping when the instructors were hounding him about anything and everything. His voice was too unpolished. His dancing was stiff. His leadership was flawed. The mirrored wall of the dance studio reflected a man Dimitri didn’t recognize, his eyes heavy and tired. His shoulders sagged, any semblance of body fat melted away into muscle that made him look near-skeletal. The puck lights above washed his skin to a sickly yellow-white. Was he meant for this? His words, his lyrics…every single one was a thinly veiled cry to help. A love letter to guilt and grief sent from a boy with enough loss to crack his mind.  He couldn’t handle this pressure. He couldn’t write, couldn’t talk to his therapist. He was going to break and it was going to be—“

“Me? Oh. Um. Please forgive me... I do not believe we have met properly. My name is Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd, and these are my friends.”
