After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

They broke Alex Pretti’s rib and he thought they were going to kill him just a week before and he still went back out to help his community. A true hero.

I’ve been spotting quite a few eagles lately.

Eagles can be considered symbols of strength, wisdom and new beginnings. They also symbolize gaining a higher perspective, leadership, potential. I find these energies especially relevant for these times. 🦅

As a vaccine advocate I typically have a strict zero engagement policy w/aggressive anti-vax comments, & I absolutely will delete misinformation that might endanger any child’s health. I have no interest in engaging with folks who treat their kid’s health as an online “gotcha” in the replies either.

Election Day 2016. I was pregnant with our second, a girl. I voted for Hilary and then met my husband for an ultrasound. She was beautiful. The hope I felt for her that day. How fast everything changed. The next day felt like a death, a tidal wave of grief, and nothing has ever been the same.

He also played Boyz II Men for me, effectively ruining On Bended Knee for any other guy for the remainder of my life because no one could top that level of romance. Later my girlfriends introduced me to Alanis and No Doubt. The 90s were it.

I remember in 1994 when my two of my best friends came over, we were in the 2nd grade and one of them brought over his new CDs. That day I listened to Green Day’s Dookie for the first time in my parent’s driveway and felt so dang cool.
