I am constantly so impressed with my local GP clinic. It is impossibly efficient. There is no relationship with an individual doctor - I don't want one - but the moment you have a concern about something they sort a call back that day or a walk-in appointment that week. They're just brilliant.

Tomorrow is a hugely important day.

At 4pm, the UK Covid-19 Inquiry will publish its report into the UK’s pandemic decision-making & political governance.

I dearly hope our political leaders & decision-makers will listen, learn &, above all, act on the findings.

Because there will be a next time.

There's a remarkable amount of good quality evidence for the value of online patient feedback for the NHS.

Most feedback is positive (lifts morale, reduces burnout) + patients are better than staff at predicting hospital mortality.

Patients transferred to England following safety review at Scottish hospital Adults who were born with a heart condition are being transferred to England for surgery following a safety review of the dedicated Scottish centre.

This is such a worry for those of us with congenital heart conditions and our families in Scotland 🥲 both children and adults in Scotland are currently being sent to England for heart surgeries.

Having been involved in the roll out of social prescribing it’s good to see that there is indeed an impact. This team used sensible outcome measures and showed a small but definite change in multiple indicators.
