Civil liberties group ends N.B. lawsuit over gender identity policy | CBC News The Canadian Civil Liberties Association is ending its lawsuit against the New Brunswick government over its policy on 2SLGBTQ+ students choosing their own names and pronouns at school.

On the good trans news front. The anti-trans youth changes to Policy 713 in New Brunswick have been revoked. This led to the ending of the lawsuit against the government of New Brunswick.

Though a small victory, it means a lot to trans and gender diverse youth in New Brunswick schools.

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over

We have the technology and the smarts to make it happen; we just need more people willing to take the leap, and to trust that we'll look after each one of us as we learn a new way of living on this planet. A better way is possible!

We're told our only options are to vote for the Leopards Eating Your Face, or the Leopards Who Apologize for Eating Your Face (& etc for Canada), but there are other options. We don't have to keep supporting a system that is destroying us.

I don't want to vote strategically. I don't want to vote against the well being of marginalized groups, including myself. If our ultimate goal is to live in harmony with the earth and each other, let's skip the hemming and hawing and put that goal first.

My mindset has shifted from "let's elect the best option to govern the country" to "let's vote to learn from Indigenous nations on how to live on this land without destroying it and each other"
