Oleumling, the oil Borderling. It resembles a large, black squid. Being near one generates black or clear oil on the skin.

Ossaling, the Bones Borderling. It resembles a spine with five legs. In close proximity, your bones grow or regenerate at a rapid rate.

Visceracrassusling, the Mystery Meat Borderling. It resembles a long strand of organs. Eating meat that has this Borderling's substance makes you addicted to more and eventually changes your molecular structure.

Chemicatumorling, the Chemical Borderling (larva stage). It resembles a neon, bloated creature with green pustles on its back. In the same room with it, your organs will become like the Borderlings, tumors grow from underneath your skin. Can be fatal!

interviewing a blonde, anime-looking girl next to her computer. Someone asked "Are you Kondo?", and she replied "Yes, it's him." (should say "me", or at least "her"???) Then I heard a loud beep and I woke up. And yes, this dream took place in English even though my native language is Spanish. +

I also knew someday in Japanese was "itsuka" (いつか), so I went full circle and made that the game's name.

As a bonus fact, Kondo's name and entire character concept and design comes from a dream I had in late 2012, which is more or less the same as Glitch Event. Some people in a lab were +

I eventually discarded the game name (since I didn't know "period" was a common name for menstruation) and the title screen (since it was... very mediocre) and Itsuki's name remained, since the original ending involved a tree/樹, and I liked how Itsuki was an actual real name that ended in -tsuki. +

Suitsuki (水付き [sic]), or "covered in water", as a reference to the pouring rain. (Proper reading should actually be "Mizutsuki", but I didn't know back then.) I somehow arrived at アヨスいつき, which I deformed into looking like "PERiod", while also turning the two horizontal strokes in き into "^^". +

In reality, "Ayosu-Itsuki" is a reference to Someday's working title, PERiod, which was a reference to the PER2 gene, which regulates sleep cycles among some things, and to period genes in general. I wanted to have a weird correlation between the game name and the MC's name, with used to be +

And yes, ayosu-5ki is his dev name. Itsuki created ZApNeF himself. Who knows, maybe he used RPG Maker?

5 can be read as "itsu", so 5ki = Itsuki. Ayosu is a random word he made up. I guess he just thought it sounded cool.

I've been contacted about the canonicity of some Itsuki's data, since the original source tweets are now gone (as I've deleted my personal X), so here's some stuff about Itsuki I can confirm!
He's 17 years old, 175cm tall (or 5'9"), and he was born in May 10, 1991!
("Someday" takes place in 2008.)

I came up with Itsuki's birthday partially through goroawase. Itsu is 5. No number sounds like ki, so I took 10, which can stand for ji and sounds a bit similar. Plus I just like the numbers a lot.
So, May 10. You can actually see this in-game with the orange crystal blog entry.
