I saw a post this morning that there was a gestapo—I mean ICE— raid at a carwash in our neighborhood. I guess it was more than a rumor. Post below from NYC Councilmember Shahana Hanif. I've also heard that her office is seeking any video, etc, of the raid.

Brooklyn’s seniors, disabled demand ‘Hands off Social Security!’ Since Elon Musk’s DOGE incursions, recipients say phones are going unanswered, the website is glitching and they live in fear.

#HandsOffSocialSecurity this week. When asked for a quote, I had to think "we're here about Social Security right now." That was hard, as what had kept me up the night before was concentration camps. But I think the reporter got the quote right. It was OK considering I hadn't planned it.

This weekend, DHS targeted and seized Mahmoud Khalil as punishment for his political speech, and indicated that they are revoking his green card. They have since handed him over to ICE where he is being detained — his location unknown — and held for deportation without due process. This is what fascist governments do, and it will not stop here.
