Gorgeous autumn weather today. Spent some time in the Botanic Gardens which was stunning. Also the shop was lovely with tons of Christmas ornaments so I had to buy.

Finished the Ed Gein drama. I pretty much enjoyed it if you possibly could. Charlie Hunnam was brilliant. Series kind of went off course last two episodes. I see Lizzie Borden is the next subject

Had a lovely lunch today at Under The Table in Dundas Street. Really nice room and good service and delicious food. Will go back.

Grief is so weird. My mum died 2 1/2 years ago. I’m at work walking to my break and I thought of her and started crying. I’m fine now and the tears stopped. I just wanted my mum.

Last day working late before I’m off for three days. Cannot wait to go out with my book early tomorrow for a coffee and muffin and then a browse round the shops.

There’s always an escalator or lift broken! 😅

4th floor has had the Christmas dept open for about three weeks. Some nice stuff.

Good Vibes Records in Leith is brilliant.

The bar area is church like and does Croque Monsieur and a good glass of wine. A future option.

Our heating did come on. Much needed.

Had a lovely lunch at a place I’ve never visited before, La Petite Folie. Gorgeous bar and restaurant and lovely food. Mussels, pork cutlet then sticky toffee pudding. I’m still stuffed.

Flat so cold with wind outside but not ready to put heating on yet. One of those days your clothes are too cold to put on!

Also watched first episode of the Ed Gein drama. Bloody hell it’s sick (but I knew it would be). Wonder if he really talked like that.

Just watched the final Ozzy Osbourne documentary. Sad times.

Totally this. The little treats in life are so dear now. I haven’t even bought a pumpkin spice latte because of that. Everything is so expensive yet my salary never goes up. Takeaways aren’t cheap and haircuts etc etc.
