Aren't we glad right now that modern anaesthetic machines have batteries. Wouldn't want to lose my machines half way through a baby laparotomy. Although I discovered recently that yes, the machine has a battery but the big monitor is not attached to that. Had to make do with the tiny mobile module.

Not the biggest fan of fish for breakfast tbh 🤣. But I had smoked trout last night which is my evening treat to look forward to when here as I can't get that easily in UK either

Children? Probably not. Toddlers and babies..... definitely! I am team paeds. Some of my adult colleagues do 5+, some 2+ if ASA 1/2 and simple surgery. Nobody does less than 2 or complex child/ surgery

Meine erste Frage waere warum die PDA keine Option ist. Und dann fielen mir noch Poolgeburt, Tens-maschine, Entonox und Paracetamol ein. Alles nicht so optimal. Aber von 4 bis 10 cm ist oft , gerade bei primips, noch ein langer Weg. Warum nicht noch mal optiat?

You'd be surprised what people put in recovery. Apart from the usual LMA still insitu case. If they are awake, fine. Of deep needs CO2 in my opinion as might be slightly obstructed and retaining CO2 and volatile

With supplemental oxygen the pulse ox can stay at 100% for a very long time with shallow inadequate breathing. You'll end up with CO2 retention and a PT that isn't waking up properly due to residual volutile. Capnography will help here
