NDP were down almost exactly the percentage of votes that Liberals were up at one point. NDP folks (including me) voting Liberal to own the Tories. I'll take it. I don't normally vote strategically unless it's an election like this. NDP wasn't gonna do anything and there's a lot on the line.

I mean I'm no expert on Canada but to me it feels like this is their 2020. In 2020, the US was relieved but failed to get our shit together. Don't rest easy, Canada...get your shit together.

I have many sisters (5), but this week Gilly wins Sister Of The Week. I dogsat for her while she went to Montreal and on her way back she brought me Lafleur. Two steamies all dressed and a small fry.

Lafleur is a Montreal institution.

Move happened this weekend. How did it go? Well, best as it could have actually. I melted down on Friday so put my chair in the back and whatever I could carry and came up to new place. Went down Saturday and finished up in a haze of chanting 'I can do this'. Which worked.

I'm being evicted as of the end of the week- I have a place to go, but there are some Things that would make my life easier. Esp the vacuum bags on this list, so I can take more with me with less space. If anyone can, anything helps

Friends let me crash in their basement instead of hosing me with hand sanitizer and chasing me out, spent two days sleeping because one of those I missed the train home, and my dad (who is indeed a lovely Papa) came and drove my ass an hour and a half home.

Trip to Ottawa was wild in a way I had not intended. Started with what I thought was a cat-related asthma flare with combo drug withdrawal (don't forget your brain meds two days in a row, kids!) but by Friday night was out for the count.

My Spanish peaked with Sesame Street, but I still think 'peligro' is the most important word to know. Even if I didn't know 'La Migra', I could point and should PELIGRO and everyone would look. (I also live in Canada, so Spanish? Less useful here)

“God is still on the throne” is meaningless to me not just because I’m not Christian, but because in Judaism, the work to be done is for us to do now. The concept of tikkun olam means I cannot be satisfied with “Presidents come and go” because I cannot wait for the Kingdom To Come.
