The BDS movement is calling for people to pressure Microsoft with divestment and exclusion from contracts, whenever feasible. We also call for boycotting Microsoft’s gaming products, with the following options as tiers of engagement: Cancel your Xbox Game Pass subscription. Boycott Candy Crush, Minecraft and Call of Duty – flagship videogame franchises owned by Microsoft. Boycott all Microsoft Gaming products, including Xbox-branded consoles, headsets, accessories and all games published by Microsoft-owned publishing labels (such as Xbox Game Studios, Activision, Bethesda and Blizzard).

And I've obviously been saying this a lot lately, but BDS does not expect anyone to drop everything made by Microsoft all at once. They pick very specific targets in order to get as wide a coalition as possible, and in the case of Xbox, even suggest different tiers of engagement.

I know a lot of you have already heard or read about BDS Movement's call against Microsoft, and felt weird and bad about it all, but decided to move forward as normal because of some degree of ambiguity.

People, especially vulnerable young children, are in extremely bad shape and are living in misery and despair while they're still out of reach of any help all over the strip right now. If you've seen any of the doctors warning about the absolute crisis looming over Gaza's infants recently, you understand how badly urgent this situation is, so this is me making my own personal call for immediate crowdfunding aid to a single specific cause. If you've used Bluesky literally at all this summer, you know how Palestinians are treated when they try to participate here in the most absolutely normal and friendly ways. I'm asking on behalf of someone who does not want to be targeted, either online by hateful bigots or in reality by the occupation, and they deserve to have their rights to privacy respected. They are somewhere where innocent people badly need help and where danger is constant, because they are in Gaza. I'm using my own voice on this person's behalf, but what we are both doing right now is asking for donations, because there are many, many young lives at risk at the moment that can still be saved. There's still dignity we can restore to all of the people having to go through their entire days without any period products while they beg to just be seen as human. Any reasonable amount you can spare, that you're willing to entrust to my own Paypal, will be going directly where it needs to go most.
