I followed your Five & Dimes for years. One thing it highlighted to me is how little I play games compared to others. It is rare that I get few dimes in a year. But for me the Five and Dime was the best kind of “review” to me. If you liked something enough to play 10 times, it is worth a try.

Good choices. Kilroy was my first big concert. The Grand Illusion is my favorite album and I’m OK is my favorite song (not for the quality of the music but for what the lyrics meant to me as a kid.

Styx was my favorite group growing up. I still enjoy listening to them once in a while. I am curious, do you have a favorite song or album of theirs?

I do but I am guilty often of reading others ratings and comments but not updating mine after I play a game.

I played it for the first time last week. It is really good. I buy less games now or I would have already purchased it.

The Greatbow Archers are amazing. The only common to this point that I want a third set. I will say I am concerned with the amount that is coming out next year and the price increases. I think I will have to be more selective about what I buy.

Now that you say that design principle it sounds obvious but I am sure it is easy to be caught up in the design and miss that.

Too much of a good thing. I am excited for all of it but lots of common squads which as you say I want 2-3 of each. Knowing is half the battle the other half is FOMO

I agree with almost all of your choices but I am struggling with Undaunted 2200: Calisto. Looks like a lot to play solo.

One of the hits this year IMO. I did not know they would be expanding it. There is so much to explore in the base game but I am sure that will not stop me from getting the expansion.

I struggle with fantasy football. I just want my Dolphins to win. It is so hard to select players from our rival teams

I know graphics sell but game play is everything to me. I spent many hours playing Zork which had no graphics and I have purchased beautiful games on Steam that I have played for less than an hour.

Since Gen Con I have played it 5 times. It is very good but it took me at least 3 times before I played well. Best game from Gen Con IMO.

Warlock is a chill civilization game for me. Not much to manage but still gives the “just one more turn” feelings.

I own it but have never played it. For some reason when I got the big box, I lost all interest in playing it. It was first and the last big box that I ordered. I wish I would have just bought the base game. I would be easier to carry and less of a monument to materialism.
