Thank you to First Nations Chiefs for joining MLA Brooks Arcand-Paul, MLA @jodiabndp.bsky.social & myself for our New Democrat Indigenous Economy Roundtable.
We know that our economic strategy must involve Indigenous communities.
Reconciliation requires economic prosperity for ALL.
Once upon a time, Danielle Smith wanted to double Alberta's population.

We deserve a government that is focused on what Albertans care about.
Alberta's New Democrats are ready.

Albertans did not give Danielle Smith and the UCP a mandate on 9 new referendum questions.
Or on separatism, or pulling out of the CPP, or breaching charter rights, or coal mining in the Eastern slopes, or bringing in two-tier health care.
Cut the bullshit. Call the election.
Enough is enough, Premier.
Albertans see right through these distractions.
Cut the bullshit. Call the election.

Danielle Smith believes sheβs giving us a masterclass in distraction, but this reeks of desperation and Albertans will see right through it.

Happy Birthday to the one and only @naheednenshi.bsky.social!
Help us celebrate the Leader of Alberta's New Democrats and Premier-in-waiting by donating $54... $540... or even $5000!

We are once again calling on UCP MLAs to sign a straightforward pledge to denounce separatism. As of Friday morning, all 38 of Albertaβs New Democrat MLAs have signed this pledge, and not a single UCP or Independent MLA has, including Premier Smith. (1/5)

Which one have you signed, Premier?
Petition to separate or pledge to stand with Team Canada?
Albertans want to know.
Weβre bringing Albertans together to have an honest discussion about two of the most urgent issues facing us today:
The growing threat of separatism and the worsening health care crisis.
Grab a seat, text a friend, and tune in at 7 PM on Tues, Feb 3.

Albertaβs New Democrats are calling on the UCP to declare a state of emergency to address the health care crisis.
We cannot wait another minute to take action.
Our lives depend on it.

"We have a medical disaster on our hands and that's why we have people suffering and dying in waiting rooms meters from care.β
Albertans canβt get the care they need.
The UCP has no plan to help.

We are so lucky to have @amandachapman.bsky.social.
She listens, she stands up for her constituents, and she fights for a better Alberta every day. She is the best.
WATCH LIVE β The UCP spent this session attacking rights, pushing American-style health care, and voting against affordability.
Albertaβs New Democrats pushed for real affordability, health care, education, and good jobs.
Tune in for our end-of-session recap:
Danielle Smith & her UCP government continue to play fast and loose with your rights and freedoms.
Itβs a slap in the face to all Albertans, especially on Human Rights Day.

Final QP for the year!
I ran the numbers on the CorruptCare scandal & they donβt look good.
Weβre past a smoking gun - weβve got a body, crime scene footage and fingerprints on the weapon.
Albertans deserve a public inquiry.
Now. 1/3 #abpoli
Health care must be patient-centered β not profit-centered.
Bill 11 puts corporate interests ahead of care β and Albertans pay the price.
We deserve better. π§‘

On Human Rights Day, the UCP used the notwithstanding clause to take away Albertansβ rights.
Now they have gone even further by trying to stop the courts from doing their job.
The fall legislative session has ended with the UCP bringing closure to end debate on their harmful legislative agenda.
The whole point of parliamentary democracy is to make sure that we are all heard and this government has no interest in hearing the voices of anyone who dissents with them.
Whatβs happening in Alberta right now is deeply concerning.
β¨Using the notwithstanding clause to take away rights from trans and gender-diverse kids is an abuse of power.
To every trans young person: we see you, we care, and weβre standing with you.
β¨You belong here π³οΈββ§οΈ
Danielle Smith can't stop lying.
She once guaranteed that "no Albertan would ever have to pay out of pocket" to see a doctor. Now, she's bringing in an American-style healthcare system that will force you to do exactly that.
Stand up to Smith's lies π½

If Danielle Smith wants Albertans to pay to see a doctor, she should call the election.
Albertans have had enough of the UCP, and they want change. Alberta's New Democrats are ready.

βThis should be an easy vote. Saying yes to Bill 201 means standing with workers and improving wages and affordability...β said Nenshi.
βOn Monday, the UCP will decide whether this bill passes and whether workers get the fairness they deserve.β

Danielle Smith is attacking teachers, parents, students, and workers. We won't stand for it.
